A state-of-the-art document management system
CHALLENGES
To develop a brand new Intranet system for the Fire & Rescue Services. The new system must include a state-of-the-art document management system that is capable of tracking all documents from creation through to publication.
The system has to standardise on one type of uniformed approach for all and includes an e-mail alert system to alert document owners/trackers about any changes or updates.
The project will require close working relationships with a number of key stakeholders throughout the region and the Chief Fire Officers' Association (CFOA). a national organisation.
Regional Internet and intranet systems, comprising of large-scale, sophisticated document and content management
RESULTS
We managed the full life cycle, from producing initial proposals and government approval, through to delivering training courses to key members of staff.
Our solution exceed the expectation level of the Fire and Rescue Services and was completed on time and within budget.
The system currently saves each service area approx. £160,000 per year in staff time and includes legally-required document audit trail to track how a document changes over its lifecycle. It is a scalable solution that can be replicated elsewhere in the country
